Coronavirus (COVID-19): latest information and advice

As a valued service provider for FDLL, and a recognised key worker, it is essential that whilst providing your services you comply with all the guidance that has been given by the UK Government in respect of COVID 19. In addition, whilst delivering your services, you have a responsibility for your own and our client’s customers safety and wellbeing and as such, it is recommended that you follow the following guidelines:

When collecting your parcels from the client’s premises, always maintain the 2- metre social distancing principle and do not engage in gatherings with other drivers or client staff.
When delivering DO NOT hand the parcels to the customer. Place the parcel on the ground 2-metres away from the customer – HELP PREVENT THE VIRUS SPREADING!
If the customer DOES NOT want to touch the Rabbit device or refuses to sign for the parcel type “NA” on the signature screen – YOU CAN NOT FORCE THEM TO SIGN!
Remember for AVD shipments even if the customer refuses to sign their ID MUST still be checked but avoid coming in direct contact with the customer or holding or touching their ID.
All deliveries to neighbours have been stopped so DO NOT attempt to deliver to a neighbour.
Additional Advice

It is important that if you feel that you are experiencing any of the COVID 19 symptoms then YOU MUST follow the government advice and self-isolate. If this is the case, please notify your OSM at the earliest opportunity.

As a self-employed service provider FDLL unfortunately cannot assist in terms of any benefit entitlements or are we liable to provide continuing payments under the furlough process. It is essential that you obtain the appropriate advice relevant to your circumstances, and this can be done via the following methods:

• Government Helpline: 0800 024 1222
